A Robo Future

One of my co-workers is infatuated with robots. You get the drift when you walk into her office and there are 1.5ft robots sitting on top of her desk. She’s showing her geekiness and not in a bean sort of way.

She mentioned to me that she has a Roomba. At first I was fascinated, I mean aren’t we all of technology? But then I asked her how long it takes for it to do her livingroom. 45 minutes. I asked her the size of this room, thinking it was huge, but nope – just your standard size. I then laughed and noted to her that I could vacuum my livingroom in about 5 minutes and the faster the cleaning is done on Sunday the faster I get to veg for the remainder of the day.

She likes to watch it…some form of stress relief. Anywho, so today I saw an article on a LawnBot and immediately thought of her and of course sent her the link. She doesn’t yet have a yard living in a basement apartment but I’m sure it is now on her wishlist.

I remember using a pushmower (my mom couldn’t afford a gas/electric one) when I was younger anyone else?

The Roomba is cool. Okay it may take 45 minutes and need charging and emptying after every room but they’re still cool. Mine’s called Dexter :)

Thanks for the link.

Lol I like that! That’s a good present robot for mom hehe
