Timing Is Everything

Gah! My father called this afternoon to let me know that he is heading back to the Dominican on Saturday. I was hoping to have him out on Saturday to help me complete the home renos. I am quite ticked. Not at him, but myself for cancelling on him on Monday when I was pissed off at the FWB :(

I have called and left him a message to see if he’s got any time tomorrow night to do the two main noticeable items on my list such as the foyer wall bubble and the vinyl stripping in the livingroom. If he can get one coat of plaster on the bubble, I can sand it and put the 2nd coat on. The bedroom door still won’t shut and my foyer floor still has a warp but I can let my realtor know that both will be fixed.

Why the rush? Realtor got back to me, we will be listing in the mid 90K’s and he wants to get it listed sooner than later because we are entering ‘end of year’ which will slowly start getting slower. I want 90K and with all my closing fees, interest/penalties from getting out of my mortgage early I want to walk away with at least $20K to pay off the majority of my debt. Yes, majority. Hopefully Dec/Jan employee profit sharing will clear the rest – yes that means no vacation for me :( But if I can walk away almost debt free, I will deal with no vacation. My tax return should be pretty nice, I can look at vacation then.

Anyways…chaos now starts. I seriously need to start looking for a place to live. One of the spots I really liked, didn’t email me back – sure hope all of Mississauga rentals aren’t like that!

P.S. Looks like I am painting this weekend…all by my lonesome! Eww….painting.
