I work in a large corporate office building in the MCC and every care is made by the management company of the building to ensure our safety in times of trouble as well as to ensure tenants and visitors are comfortable within their building.
For safety, our building has of course the large exit sign at all doors that lead out and all of the areas are well lit with exit lights in case the power goes out. One of the other things I have noticed is the braille mens and ladies washroom signs, which I think is a very proactive stance to take to ensure all can find their way around.
However, back to the exit signs, I have noted that I have not seen any in braille. I would assume these should be at a height that can be used by the seeing impaired but I have yet to notice anything on the walls by the exit doors.
There is a company (website is exitsigns.net) that deals solely with exit signs including braille. I am wondering if I should pass on this site to the management company of this building.
