There is a really informative post over at DSLReports about the differences between ODSP and the US social security disability system. It mainly shows here the two different programs lack though it appear in Canada it is a better system though much, much harder to get.

We tried to get my father on it twice…they basically said that as long as he is not paralyzed he can work, even though he seems to have everything under the sun. His doctor does not understand why he cannot get it…from what I’ve been reading we needed to appeal the decision give up.

But then again, give us another couple of years and I’m pretty sure he will have to apply again and this time it will stick :(

I know…sometimes weird topics grab me…last night I was totally wrapped around reading about Hutterites and the new order Amish. Cannot remember what got me there, but I was up until just after midnight scrounging the web. I’d never even heard about Hutterites…what about you?
