My father is going through health issues again that bring me back almost 10 years when we found out he had degenerative disc disease. Looks like the surgery really didn’t work that well (screw is loose, yes literally) and the remaining discs look like they need to be fused too.

He also has osteo arthritis and could have prostate cancer (we should learn something more on that on Monday as he has a specialist appointment.

I was doing some internet googling on arthritis and came ankylosing spondylitis treatment. Now it has nothing to do with osteo, but rheumatoid but when I first read the name I thought it read ankle losing spondylitis. But in actuality it is Greek: ankylos means bent and spondylos is vertebrae. So I guess Dad would fall under this type of arthritis? Has he has lots of bent vertebrae.

Anyways…Dad’s been on my mind as of late. I hope to know more next week and in March (neurologist appointment).
