So I finally used one of my new StayFit bowls this morning.
Other than the bowl that holds the milk leaking into my bag (not sure if I had it on all the way or not) and the very crappy folding spoon (that I threw out when I tried to use it and it kept folding itself, lol) it is a pretty good set if you want to bring in cereal to eat at work.
So now I’m full up on Raisin Bran…good way to start the day :)
Last night while grocery shopping, getting ready to join WW online I was in the cereal section where the cereal bars are. I was going to pick up Nutri Grain or a Trail Mix bar pack but landed on the new Kellogg’s Special K Fruit Crisps, strawberry flavour.
I will usually eat these types of bars to tied me over between meals, generally from lunch to dinner.
Anyways…I didn’t think about breakfast until about 11:15am and instead of grabbing an instant oatmeal and eat breakfast I grabbed one of the bars to tie me over until lunch which is only 45min away. It is basically a revamped low calorie (100 calories for the two itty bitty bars) version of their pop tarts.
I don’t believe it is suppose to be a meal replacement, just a 100 calorie snack. It was pretty tasty and did what it was suppose to do.
I just had dinner and my goodness it was delish! I forgot how much I LOVE (LOVE, LOVE!) this frozen dinner and in fact thought I posted about it before but I did a quick search…and nada.
If you’re new to my site, one thing to note…I don’t cook, hence I talk/write about lots of prepackaged foods. Like oh…Smart Ones! Lean Cuisine! Campbells Soups! Yeah…I need to find me a man that likes to cook because I sure don’t.
Anyway, back to the beans. This meal is great. It is filling (fibre anyone?), cheesy, sour creamy and it’s got corn. Firm corn, not mushy corn. It micros in 5 minutes and is worth 6 points, probably a lot to some Weight Watchers out there but fine for me.
I have decided that now that my cravings are out of the way, well almost – that I’m going to low carb it for a bit to get my food and calorie intake back on track. Why low carb and not just eat what I want within reason which seems to be the push at me lately from my readers? Because I know me. I need to get back on track before I start to allow myself a treat here and there, to eat normal.
Low carb if I am in the mood, works great for me and when I got up this morning my body said okay we’re ready!
Any ways you’re probably wondering why the Clover Leaf image in this post? I found this product on the shelves at Walmart as I was picking up my happy pills: Clover Leaf Yellowfin Tuna Steaks. They are already cooked, cook in 30 seconds and come in various marinades. I had Fresh Thai Herb for lunch and OMG it rocked my socks off. Very tangy and super duper spicey that I wanted more, lol. I bought 2 of each. Tonight I am going to have another, curry (didn’t want to smell up the office) with asparagus.
Bootcamp tonight…got the okay from my instructor to go to her class tonight – yay!
I had to run to Walmart at lunch to pick up a couple of fuses, I blew one this morning when I forgot that I cannot have the clothing plugged in when my clock radio is on and my hair iron and blow dryer are both on. So I went and picked up a few things along with Campbell’s Healthy Request Thai Chicken Vegetable Ready to Enjoy and I have found my favourite soup.
It’s exceedingly flavourful and the 398ml serving is perfect. The only thing I don’t like? The nutritional label. They have given you the value of calories and nutrients based on 250ml…just give us the RIGHT data, don’t make me get my calculator out. If people aren’t paying attention, they will think they are consuming 120 calories but actually, it is 191. It was still a bargain at 191 calories but those kind of things irk me with packaging.
