Tomorrow, tomorrow!

(comments are closed)

househuntingNormally I don’t wish away my weekends but tomorrow I will find out if I can put the condo up for sale and start searching for my new home.

My current home is a 1 bedroom, 648sqft penthouse condo (35th floor) with an ensuite bathroom, powder room and den. I have a nice 20ft balcony where a 6ft section of it is almost 7ft which allows you to have a lounger or two, so it’s a pretty decent size. I also have nothing overhead so I get the lovely sun. I love my unit – but as I noted in yesterday’s post my priorities have changed and I need to move on.

Where I live I cannot afford a home, semi-detached or otherwise as the housing prices are redunculous. So I’m looking into townhouses, older townhouses that is. New ‘townhouses’ are itty bitty and have balconies or terraces, no backyards. I want a back yard.

So a townhouse with a backyard and at least 3 bedrooms. I know that for Dad and I, I’d only ‘need’ 2 bedrooms but I want a craft room. I have so many interests (and supplies) but I really don’t get into them much as I am the type of person who has to put things away when I’m done and it is a pain in the patootie to drag them out and then put them away. Oh, and I have to stand at the kitchen island to them, another inconvenience.

So, a backyard, 3+ bedrooms and at least a newer kitchen OR new floors. One or the other, of course both would be nice but I cannot be too picky. Oh and a finished basement. I think that is it. I will have so much space, I won’t know what to do with it! The boys won’t know what to do with it, lol.

So waiting for tomorrow…a bit impatiently.

Well, Hello There!

Good morning! I am sitting here having a coffee, surfing the web with my boys around me and my father is on the other side of the couch doing the same. Yes, this appears to be my first post in about a year! So what’s been happening? I will do a quick itemized list because normally my life is pretty much even keeled and so the list should be pretty quick.

  1. May: nada
  2. June: nada
  3. July: nada
  4. August: nada
  5. September: Dad moved in & I was voted back in for a 3 year term for my condo’s Board of Directors
  6. October: Did my first show for inamood designs
  7. November: nada
  8. December: nada
  9. January 2013: nada
  10. February: nada
  11. March: nada

See? Not much – lol.

This month though could be very interesting. I am waiting on a call on Monday that will have me put my condo up for sale. I know I said I was never moving again but a few factors have come into play and I think it is the best decision for me. Dad’s still here and I think it would be best that I moved him and I into a house. Well townhouse as here in this city, that is all I can afford, especially in the area I wish to remain :)

So yes, this month could be very interesting come Monday and I guess this life event makes me want to blog about it :)

Living La Vida Loca

Okay…not so much :)

I’ve actually been in a loner mood as of late, so I have been going home right after work, making any hats ordered and watching Smallville, keeping to myself. I am currently in Season 5.

I have been maintaining my weight pretty well since my LDW. You are suppose to maintain your weight +/- 2lbs during maintenance and I’ve been doing that, I’m currently up .9lbs since that day. Normally on the HCG diet you are suppose to do 6 weeks of maintenance but I’ve decided to cut it short and I’m starting Round 2 on Saturday, well more than likely Friday evening. Saturday/Sunday will be my loading days (250g of fat need to be consumed each day) and then Monday back to clean, low carb, low fat, low calorie eating.

I lost 27.1lbs on my last round which I did for 60 days, not sure how long I will do this coming round but I’d love to see 30lbs :) I just need to be a bit more strict (stop the morning coffee with cream, etc) and I’d lose more. We shall see. Losing 27.1lbs in 60 days is nothing to scoff at so I may just do what I did then and not feel overly deprived.

My father’s due to come by tonight. He’s heading to the Dominican to meet with some old friends tomorrow and since I only live 15min outside the Toronto Airport he decided to drive down from Pembroke today. I wish I could go with him!

Anyways…need to post this, my software routine is almost done running and I’m interested in the results it’s gonna spit back at me :) Toodles!

Back to Bloggin’

inMa Vie

(comments are closed)

I have decided to come back to blogging, but only on here. Scalewhore will be going down on March 1st and then I will have just one blog – to blog about everything. Also there will be no more paid posts, 100% me content!

So what have I been up to since July 2011? Let’s do some point forms :)

  • I continued with my loom knitting and added crochet and now I have an etsy store
  • I’ve had 301 sales since Jun 26/11 :)
  • I bought Buttercup (my bright yellow smart) in September after her lease ended
  • I am dieting again and since Jan 9th have lost 23.1lbs as of this morning. I am following the hCG protocol.

I think that’s it, lol – not too much going on, life is good. I am still on the Board of my condo and enjoying the experience. I hope to get re-elected for another year as I like being in tune with the building and knowing what is going on.

My home is finally fully decorated. In September the builder finally got around to starting on my unit deficiencies and basically undid all of Dad’s painting. Dad came down this past January and repainted and I’m finally done. I have pictures/paintings up and I’m happy with my home. I will be posting pictures to flickr in the days to come.

I think that is it, time to post this and call it a night.

I’m so happy you are back. I’ve missed you here. Yay!! :)

  • Kristi

Hi! I just happened to check your blog today after a long time and I’m happy to see you are going to be posting more, and also ditching the paid posts. I used to read your blog regularly years ago, but had to abandon due to the advertising. I still did check both your blogs from time to time though to see how you were doing. I’m going to add you to my RSS reader now. :D

Condo Turnover

inMa Vie

(comments are closed)

Our condo turnover meeting was this past Monday. I wanted to be on the board and so put my name in and indeed got voted in :) There were four positions and they all went to members of our facebook group. Our first meeting I think is this week and I’m excited to get to work. Our meeting was at the Living Arts Centre and since it was just a 5min walk away a lot of us walked to get there. As we were walking home of course board business wasn’t on our mind. The question for the walk home was xbox vs. ps3, lol. I have a ps2 and only play it every once in a while to play my japanese horror games :)

So do you jeux ps3 or play xbox? Both? Or none at all.
