Spartacus

At least once a week I go to head office and work. I have a desk in a counterpart’s office and a little name tag on the wall, giving me a ‘home’ there. My counterpart is into astronomy and recently bought a spotting scope. She had her hubby just took up this hobby recently so I hear all about it whenever I visit. I’m waiting for her next hobby – as to be honest, astronomy doesn’t interest me in any way, shape or form.

Yesterday I was able to turn the conversation into tv, as I had recently seen the Dexter promo (this fall!) where his eyes fill up with blood while he’s talking and then she went on about a show I meant to google last night: Spartacus. Having just finished rewatching ROME (S1 and S2), I need a good show to hold me over until True Blood starts on the 26th.

Spartacus…anyone watch it?

A TV Weekend

inMa Vie

This weekend was pretty lazy, especially with the fog and rain not letting up much. I couldn’t take the dogs to the dog park as it would be a huge mud pit and I was in no mood to bathe them and Buttercup. I watched a lot of HGTV and finished up True Blood Season 1 and now onto Season 2 (getting ready for S4 starting soon!).

On Sunday’s, HGTV always have a new episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition for me to watch and today’s was great. They had a man in a wheel chair who had also been a paraplegic Olympic athlete in his day. Ty decided that instead of all his medals and trophies being hid away in boxes, to display them for his children to see. For his children to not see his disability as something to stop him from doing anything.

It was a great show, do you watch it?

Degrassi

I have started watching Degrassi on MuchMusic and have to admit I like the show. The show has been around since I was a young teen and it is filmed in Toronto, however I have never watched it.

It is pretty in your face about the life of teenagers include topics of sexting, alcoholism, diet pill side effects, self esteem, popularity, teen pregnancy, etc, etc. They have also done a show about hoarding which was really good.

Anybody else watch this show?

Team Edward!

I went and saw Eclipse tonight with a couple of coworkers. It was a great chick flick and there were some funny scenes (read: cheesy) that the three of us would break out laughing.

While waiting for the movie to start, there was a preview for RED a movie about old (literally), ex-CIA agents who it appears never really researched for the best wrinkle cream (man or woman) since wow…some of these actors are really looking their age. Except for Bruce Willis, he is still looking good after all of these years.

Anyways, back to the Twilight Saga…when is the next one coming out? LOL

Criminal Minds

I don’t watch normal tv. Let me rephrase that, I only watch 2 shows on regular cable (Supernatural and The Tudors), other than that I go between A&E, HGTV and TLC.

Currently I am on an A&E kick especially since I found Criminal Minds. I love this show, where has it been all my life!? I love Gideon (old seasons), Penelope and Dr. Spencer Reid. Actually I love them all, they all have their quirks and back stories which rounds them all out. Anyone else addicted?
