Okay…not so much :)

I’ve actually been in a loner mood as of late, so I have been going home right after work, making any hats ordered and watching Smallville, keeping to myself. I am currently in Season 5.

I have been maintaining my weight pretty well since my LDW. You are suppose to maintain your weight +/- 2lbs during maintenance and I’ve been doing that, I’m currently up .9lbs since that day. Normally on the HCG diet you are suppose to do 6 weeks of maintenance but I’ve decided to cut it short and I’m starting Round 2 on Saturday, well more than likely Friday evening. Saturday/Sunday will be my loading days (250g of fat need to be consumed each day) and then Monday back to clean, low carb, low fat, low calorie eating.

I lost 27.1lbs on my last round which I did for 60 days, not sure how long I will do this coming round but I’d love to see 30lbs :) I just need to be a bit more strict (stop the morning coffee with cream, etc) and I’d lose more. We shall see. Losing 27.1lbs in 60 days is nothing to scoff at so I may just do what I did then and not feel overly deprived.

My father’s due to come by tonight. He’s heading to the Dominican to meet with some old friends tomorrow and since I only live 15min outside the Toronto Airport he decided to drive down from Pembroke today. I wish I could go with him!

Anyways…need to post this, my software routine is almost done running and I’m interested in the results it’s gonna spit back at me :) Toodles!

I Really Am Back, lol

This week was super busy at work. My boss and I left some things to the last minute and therefore we were running around trying to get things done by the CRA deadlines. Normally I am on top of things like this and don’t let it get to the nth hour, but I did and we paid for it with stress. We did get it all done mind you but I definitely do not want to go through that again!

I had a condo budget meeting on Monday and had a grand time discussing number and a quite a few hats to make and get out in the mail. Yep…busy!

I just posted four new hats to my etsy store and now have 70 items posted :) I’ve been trying to break into the beanie business but my poms are still my popular item, but then again I do have professional photos to use to sell them, I mean how do you not buy something like this?

On a side note, I’ve lost 25.6lbs since Jan 9th :) I still have a long way to go, but I’m happy to have passed the 25lb milestone :)

Name Change

inUncategorized

(comments are closed)

Here at work we had a legal name change that happened in August 2010. We are now just getting around to getting it ‘out there’ and I’m in charge of ensuring all is done internally/externally. Today I was drafting a letter to go to our vendors and thought to google ‘name change announcement” and only found a couple of examples. Birth announcements took up most of the results.

Anyways…got it done, in for boss edit/review/approval and then I can tick that one of my list of items to do. For a smaller company (around 135 employees), we sure do have a lot of changes to make!

I just the cutest baby announcements being drawn up by one of the designers here at work. She’s got some downtime so she’s been working this morning on a couple of adorable mockups for her friend to approve. I love working in a very creative place. I know if I ever have anything to announce who to go to do draw up some designs!

Sans Paper

inMa Vie

(comments are closed)

My office is full of paper. I’ve only been here for 4.5 years andI swear I have more paper than I did at my previous job where I was there for almost 8! Being in finance, we obviously need a paper trail and as well to keep records for 7 years for CRA, but trying to store accounting records (vendor invoices, our invoices, purchase orders, etc, etc) and payroll records is a feat unto itself. I’m tempted to talk to the bossman about document imaging but would have to look into the legalities of it with CRA…

Anyone work in a paperless office?

  • S

I used to work in a paperless environment for a multinational logistics company and once you go paperless you never want to go back. Everything was scanned to appropriate files, etc so the “paper” trail was there it was just digital.

It took a bit of getting used to at first, but eventually I wondered how I existed any other way.

A cluttered desk full of papers was gone (I hate clutter!), having to pack up documents for year end was no longer required, snagging a copy of a digital copy made it easy to e-mail to people – it was right there, I didn’t have to dig through archives of paperwork to find it), and everyone had access to it. This way nobody had to bug people to send a file or a document – it was right there, they could get it themselves.

And there is the positive environmental aspects of using less paper (and subsequently ink due to lack of printing).

Really, I could go on forever about this topic! lol.

Printing is really looked down upon in my office, we fill out PDFs digitally and email them. Hardly ever print. In fact when the printer starts to print (soft. development) people will actually look up from their desks to see who NEEDS to print so bad. Yes, to the point of peer pressure to not print. Which is good I suppose.

Paper is such a waste and impractical way to carry documents. I would prefer to carry them on a usb thumb drive or email them to myself so they are on my iPhone or iPad. Or post them on a secure website. All good. I think people in general are reluctant to change or afraid of it and the unknown. Would you not agree Trish? =)
